Physical Therapy

Dr. Rich Kenney holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University (2011) and brings over a decade of elite sports medicine experience back to his hometown. Growing up right here in Falmouth, MA, Rich spent his youth on the court and the diamond playing basketball and baseball—a passion for sports that continues to drive his practice today.

While at Northeastern, Rich spent two seasons working directly with Division 1 athletes as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. He built on that foundation through key leadership roles in the region, serving as Clinical Manager at Blue Hills Sports and Spine and Clinical Supervisor for Spaulding Rehabilitation.

Rich combines deep clinical expertise with high-level performance training to help athletes ditch pain, move better, and reach their full potential. He knows no two bodies or goals are the same, which is why he customizes every treatment plan to match your specific needs.

Outside the clinic, Rich lives in Falmouth with his wife Faren, their son Noah, their dog Beau, and their two cats, Wes and Evie.

High-Quality Care, Unrestricted by Insurance

At Kenney Performance Physical Therapy, we’ve chosen an out-of-network model for one simple reason: your health, recovery, and goals should always come first—not the restrictions of an insurance company.

Traditional, insurance-based clinics are often forced to double-book patients, pass care off to aides, or stop treatment prematurely because an arbitrary limit was reached. We refuse to compromise on the quality of your care.

Why Being Out-of-Network Means Better Results for You:

  • 100% Dedicated 1-on-1 Focus

Every session is a full 60 minutes exclusively with your specialist. No shared appointments, no waiting, and no generic exercise sheets.

  • Treat the Whole Body, Not Just One Code

Insurance often restricts treatment to a single injured joint per visit. We treat your entire movement system to address the actual root cause of your pain.

  • No Authorizations, No Delays

You don't need to wait weeks for pre-approvals or physician referrals to start feeling better. We can begin working toward your goals immediately.

  • Faster, More Efficient Recovery

Because every minute of your visit is focused, high-level clinical care, most of our patients achieve their goals in fewer total visits than traditional clinics require.

Transparent & Hassle-Free Reimbursement

While we do not bill insurance directly, we provide you with detailed superbills (itemized receipts) after every session. You can submit these directly to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement or apply them toward your out-of-network deductible. You can also use HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds to cover your care.
